Lone Wolf Comedy Festival

Friday 28th June – MC Andrew Bird, Josh Pugh, Marcel, Lucont, Chris McCausland

 

MC ANDREW BIRD All hosted by regular local Bicester comedian who has supported Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre on tour including Wembley and the O2 and more recently Russell Howard including 7 nights at The London Palladium. He has appeared on The Russell Howard Hour and was voted the 2023 Comic’s Comic Best Act.

 

 

JOSH PUGH

Edinburgh award nominee and viral sensation Josh Pugh has supported Ricky Gervais on tour and appeared on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Nevermind the Buzzcocks and The Last Leg.

 

MARCEL LUCONT

The multi-award-deserving flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur charms women and insults the stupid with his trademark deadpan French wit, wry observations and world-class erotic poetry.

As seen on Comedy Central at The Comedy Store, BBC1’s The John Bishop Show and BBC3’s Live At The Electric, Marcel has toured the world to much critical acclaim.

 

CHRIS MCCAUSLAND

A favourite on flagship comedy shows such as Have I got news for You, Would I Lie To You, QI, The Last Leg and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo three times and a highly acclaimed debut appearance on The Royal Variety Show. Chris also has his own travel series on Channel 4 called “Wonders of The World I Can’t See”.

JARRED CHRISTMAS

New Zealand Sensation Jarred Christmas is one of the most innovative and exciting stand-ups on the UK circuit. A sought-after headliner famed for his quick-witted spontaneity, masterful skills of improvisation and energetic storytelling. Jarred has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Dave’s One Night Stand.

 

ANGELA BARNES

Angela has starred in BBC Two’s Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, House of Games, and Hypothetical on Dave. She is a firm favourite on BBC Radio 4, having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz – including a recent stint as the host. She has also hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack.

 

MILTON JONES

Milton Jones regularly appeared on Mock The Week and has also appeared on Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and House of Games. Milton is currently working on his 15th series for radio 4 and performs regularly on the BBC classic Sorry I Haven’t Got a Clue. His previous tour shows were performed to over one hundred thousand people. He is a Perrier Award Best Newcomer Winner and Best Show Nominee as well as having won two Sony awards and received a British Comedy award nomination.

Described as ‘the best observational comedian of his generation’ (The Guardian), this Edinburgh Award nominee’s last UK tour show After This One, I’m Going Home ended with standing ovations around the country. Seann has starred in Netflix’s Flinch, Live at the Apollo, Tonight at the London Palladium, Celebrity Juice, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Virtually Famous, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Chatty Man and Stand Up Central.

 

SHAPPI KHORSANDI

Shappi has established herself as one of the UK’s finest comedians. Her career has taken her to all corners of the globe. She has appeared on countless TV and radio shows including Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Masterchef, Have I Got News For You, QI, Question Time and Just a Minute, as well as her own show, Shappi Talk.

 

MARCUS BRIGSTOCK

Marcus Brigstock is regarded as a major comedy, writing, and acting talent, performing stand-up nationally to sell-out audiences on tour.

BBC Radio 4 has become somewhat of a second home to Marcus with regular appearances on I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, The Now Show and Just a Minute; he has written and recorded five series of his hit show Giles Wemmbley-Hogg Goes Off.

Marcus has notched up an impressive list of TV credits including his role as team captain on Argumental (Dave), and host of The Late Edition and I’ve Never Seen Star Wars (BBC Four). Other appearances include; Live at the Apollo (BBC One), Have I Got News for You (BBC One), Mock the Week (BBC Two), QI (BBC Two), Sorry, I’ve Got No Head (BBC One), The Late Edition (BBC Four), and The 11 O’Clock Show (Channel 4).
