Lone Wolf Comedy Club feat. Andrew Bird, Tom Wrigglesworth, Mike Gunn.
Show details:
Tom Wrigglesworth
Tom is a frighteningly tall comedian, but a thoroughly nice man with a likeable stage presence and confident delivery. This Yorkshire funny man became a national have-a-go-hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of Virgin train bureaucracy, only to be arrested for begging. He’s also the winner of Channel 4’s ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ competition.
An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales, told with true passion never fail to captivate the crowd. His television credits include Russell Howard’s Good News, Edinburgh Comedy
Show, Live At The Comedy Store and Engineering Giants.
‘Magical storytelling… a rare talent… hysterical and accomplished’ (Time Out)
‘The gods of comedy chose greatness for Tom’ (The Scotsman).
Mike Gunn
Mike’s history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”. He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likable and funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic. Just a bit misunderstood.
“One of the 10 leading stand-ups in Britain” – Independent on Sunday
“Mike Gunn will make you die laughing” – The Guardian
“Piercingly funny…Fiendishly funny as dry as a dead mans bones” – The List
Andrew Bird
Andrew appeared on “The Russell Howard Hour” and supported Russell on tour including Bristol’s Ashton Gate Football stadium and six shows at The London Palladium. He’s also supported Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon, America’s Brian Regan and Michelle Wolfe on their only London shows and Michael McIntyre on an entire arena tour including Wembley and the O2. He’s written on the TV shows Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
“A brilliantly funny comedian” – Russell Howard
“Birdie supported me on my arena tour and made me laugh every
night. A truly excellent comedian” – Michael McIntyre
