DESCRIPTION:Lone Wolf Comedy Club feat. Dave Longley Archie Maddocks Paul Tonkison\nShow details:\n \nArchie Maddocks\nArchie is a multi-talented\, multi-disciplined creative artist\, with extensive experience in Comedy and Drama. \nAs a Stand-Up Comedian\, Archie is a confident\, cheerful\, provocative and most importantly hilarious award-winning stand-up comedian armed with a natural stage presence\, quick acerbic wit and a ‘winning smile.’ \nMuch in demand on the national circuit and internationally\, Archie’s style lends itself to any environment\, whether that be rowdy weekend comedy club\, festival shows or after dinner entertainment. Quick on his feet\, with a warm and affable energy\, Archie is equally comfortable doing sets as he is hosting\, he’s worked in some of the biggest clubs in the UK\, and as far afield as South Africa and the USA. \nHe has featured in a host of impressive stand-up competitions – a finalist in both the NATYs and English Comedian of the year in 2014. He was also the runner-up in the Amused Moose Laugh Off competition and the winner of the Bath New Act Of The Year competition in 2014 \nIn 2016\, he took his debut show Shirts Vs Skins to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival\, which received excellent reviews and ended up on tour in South Africa in 2017. His follow-up show\, IlluminArchie\, was loved by critics and audience alike and received a London transfer to the prestigious Soho Theatre in 2017 and VAULT Festival in 2018. \nArchie has two shows available to view on the streaming platform NextUp.com – an online platform exclusively for stand-up comedy. His debut show Shirts Vs Skins is available by clicking here. His Five Star 2018 Edinburgh Show Matchstick\, is available by clicking here. \n\n \nPaul Tonkinson\nA sensational live performer\, Yorkshire man\, marathon runner and former (double award-winning) Time Out Comedian of the Year\, Paul Tonkinson has long upheld his esteemed reputation as one of the finest stand-ups the UK has to offer. With a unique and distinctive style\, Tonkinson is noted for his effervescent physicality and skilful impressions\, which bring alive exuberant\, tender comic reflections on love\, family and the day-to-day idiosyncrasies of 21st century living. A plethora of first-class material\, combined with tremendous charm and irrepressible\, infectious energy make for quite a formidable talent. \nOn TV\, he’s most recently performed on BBC One’s Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store and The World Stands-up. He was recently a contestant on Ch. 4`s hit show Celebrity Come Dine With Me\, proving he’s not just a dazzling stand-up talent\, but a whizz in the kitchen\, scooping first place to win the cash prize for charity. Back in the day\, when he was a mere whippersnapper\, he had a stint presenting Ch. 4’s The Big Breakfast and he has also presented radio shows on XFM in London and Manchester. He has just completed a stint as a Programme Associate on BBC One’s Michael Mcintyre Chat Show. \n“Excellent… extremely talented… brilliant” – Time Out \n  \n \nDavid Longley\nDave Longley is a difficult comedian to define; on the one hand\, abrasive\, crude and insulting and on the other\, articulate\, intelligent and disarmingly funny. \nLongley’s towering stage presence and intensity\, combined with his cutting wit have made him one of the most popular and controversial circuit comics in the UK\, whether it’s doling out thought-provoking insights or revelling in toilet humour\, Longley is a gifted wordsmith with great audience interaction skills. \nDavid has a humble silliness which ingratiates him to audiences\, he delivers deadpan accounts of his everyday life which are shockingly honest\, well considered and divinely funny\, maintaining a rapport with the audience that is at once edgy and accessible\, engaging the whole room. \nHe has a skillful eye for the nuance in dialogue and incident\, which transfers from his stage act to his screen writing with delightful results. He writes across a variety of genres such as 8 Out of 10 Cats for Channel 4 and is currently working on sitcom\, drama and documentary script ideas. \n‘’Acid tongued and as sharp as a barrel full of tacks… As intense and intelligent performer as you’re likely to see’’ – THE LIST \n‘’Highly original and bloody funny’’ – THREE WEEKS \n  \n\nTimings\nDoors open: 7pm\nShow starts: 8pm \n\nBuy tickets:\nTickets for this show are £15 each.
