SUMMARY:Marsh Gibbon\, July 19th 2024
DESCRIPTION:Lone Wolf Comedy Club feat. Andrew Bird\, Julian Deane\, Scott Bennett.\nShow details:\n \nJulian Deane\nJulian is a hilariously frenetic comedian known for his high-octane performances on stage. With a style that’s been described as “bonkers” and “maniacally talented”\, he delivers rapid-fire observational comedy laced with surreal tangents and mind-blowing vocal dexterity. \nDespite the unhinged\, almost unbelievable pace\, Deane’s material remains firmly rooted in everyday human experiences and relationships\, especially surrounding his own life as a husband and father. This duality of grounded perspective and unrestrained surrealism is what makes his act both wildly absurd yet instantly recognizable. \n“Deliciously twisted. a stream of seriously good gags. quick\, sharply written and endlessly repeatable lines.” (The Guardian). \n“Assured and brilliant. Deane is a class apart. a master of hilarious twists and turns.” (Chortle). \n  \n \nScott Bennett\nThe Comedy Club with Arthur Smith\, and Knock Knock with Helen Lederer. In 2018\, he also featured on the BBC One show\, Live from The Edinburgh Fringe. \nHe also features on the new Nationwide adverts\, released in 2020 and 2021. \nDuring the lockdown of 2020\, Scott pioneered the viral hit\, Stand up from the Shed\, a weekly topical live streamed stand up show from his actual garden shed. The show achieved national coverage in the press\, Sky News\, BBC News and Five Live. \nAt the end of 2020\, in the Comics Comic awards Scott was voted “Best Act” a prestigious award decided by comedians and promoters in the industry. Previous winners include\, Mick Ferry\, Zoe Lyons and Ian Stone. \nIn 2022 he was nominated as Best Club Comedian in the Chortle awards. \n“Great material\, great delivery\, a very funny man”  Rob Brydon \n“Brilliantly funny\, a joy to watch” Chris Ramsey \n“mmediately and accessibly funny stuff\, put across very engagingly” ★★★★ – TV Bomb\, Edinburgh Fringe Review 2015 \n \nAndrew Bird\nAndrew appeared on “The Russell Howard Hour” and supported Russell on tour including Bristol’s Ashton Gate Football stadium and six shows at The London Palladium. He’s also supported Rhod Gilbert\, Rob Brydon\, America’s Brian Regan and Michelle Wolfe on their only London shows and Michael McIntyre on an entire arena tour including Wembley and the O2. He’s written on the TV shows Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. \n“A brilliantly funny comedian” – Russell Howard \n“Birdie supported me on my arena tour and made me laugh every\nnight. A truly excellent comedian” – Michael McIntyre \n  \n\nTimings\nDoors open: 6.30pm\nShow starts: 8pm \n\nBuy tickets:\nTickets for this show are £15 each.
